HUNTR/X’s “Golden” Dominates Hot 100 for Fourth Week as Sabrina Carpenter Scores Two Top-Five Hits

Couches may have been left empty this week, but HUNTR/X keeps listeners on their feet as “Golden” climbs to a fourth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track, featured on the soundtrack for the hit animated Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters, has cemented the singing trio—EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI—in history. Performing as the film’s characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, HUNTR/X became the first female Korean-pop-associated group to top the Hot 100 when “Golden” initially hit No. 1.

KPop Demon Hunters also achieved a remarkable feat, becoming the first soundtrack in the 67-year history of the Hot 100 to simultaneously place four songs in the top 10. This week, Saja Boys’ “Your Idol” and “Soda Pop” dropped one spot from Nos. 4 and 5, respectively, while HUNTR/X’s “How It’s Done” remained steady at its No. 9 peak.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter made a strong showing with two songs in the top five. “Tears” debuted at No. 3, and her previous chart-topper “Manchild” climbed from No. 7 to No. 4. Both tracks are from her new album, Man’s Best Friend, which also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Chart Metrics for “Golden”

During the tracking week of Aug. 29–Sept. 4, “Golden” amassed 34.5 million official streams in the U.S. (down 2% week-over-week), 22.1 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 13%), and 9,000 digital and physical sales (up 4%). The song also secured its seventh week at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart, climbed to No. 24 on Radio Songs (up from 29), entered the top 10 on the Pop Airplay chart at No. 10, and maintained a second week at No. 1 on Digital Song Sales.

“Golden” marks a milestone as the ninth Korean-pop-affiliated song to top the Hot 100 and the first led by female vocalists tied to the genre. EJAE and REI AMI hail from Seoul, South Korea, while Audrey Nuna is from New Jersey. The track’s four-week reign places it just behind BTS’s Butter (10 weeks) and ties for the fourth-longest Hot 100 No. 1 run for an all-female group of three or more members, alongside TLC’s No Scrubs and Bangles’ Walk Like an Egyptian.

Sabrina Carpenter’s Hot 100 Success

Carpenter’s “Tears” launched with 26.3 million streams (No. 2 debut on Streaming Songs), 11.9 million in airplay audience, and 2,000 units sold. Meanwhile, “Manchild” saw 19.5 million streams (up 86%), 49.3 million in radio audience (up 2%), and 2,000 units sold (up 129%), climbing 5-3 on Radio Songs and 25-5 on Streaming Songs. Carpenter has now earned her fifth Hot 100 top 10, all achieved since April of last year.

Other Top 10 Highlights

Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” held at No. 2, continuing its 10 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 earlier in the year. Morgan Wallen’s “What I Want,” featuring Tate McRae, fell 3-7, while Ravyn Lenae’s “Love Me Not” dropped 6-8.

Below HUNTR/X’s “How It’s Done,” Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” fell 8-10. The track has logged a record-extending 107 weeks on the Hot 100 overall, including 77 weeks in the top 10, solidifying its status as one of the year’s most enduring hits.

How Billboard Rankings Are Calculated

The Hot 100 chart combines U.S. streaming (official audio and video), radio airplay, and sales data. Digital single sales from direct-to-consumer platforms are excluded. All chart data is carefully verified by Luminate, Billboard’s independent data provider, which authenticates submissions and removes unverifiable or suspicious entries before final rankings are released.

With “Golden” ruling the Hot 100 for a fourth week and Carpenter scoring two top-five hits, this week’s chart demonstrates the growing global influence of K-pop and the continuing rise of new pop powerhouses in 2025.
