The Latin Recording Academy has officially announced the nominations for the 26th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, and global superstar Bad Bunny leads the pack with an impressive 12 nominations, the most of any artist this year. The Puerto Rican icon, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, continues to redefine the Latin music landscape with multiple nods across the most prestigious categories, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year.
Bad Bunny’s remarkable success is highlighted by the fact that he has two songs competing head-to-head in the same categories. Both Baile Inolvidable and DtMF are nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, underscoring his dominance and versatility as a performer and songwriter. His presence at the top of the nominations list reflects his ongoing influence on global music trends, streaming records, and cultural impact.
In the Record of the Year race, Bad Bunny will face strong competition from acclaimed artists such as CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Jorge Drexler & Conociendo Rusia, Zoe Gotusso, Karol G, Natalia Lafourcade, Alejandro Sanz, and Liniker. Liniker, a groundbreaking Brazilian singer and the first trans artist ever to win a Latin Grammy, is once again making history with seven nominations, including three of the coveted “Big Four” categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. As a Black trans woman from Brazil, Liniker’s continued recognition marks a significant moment for diversity and representation in the Latin music industry.
