Offset Shows Support for Cardi B Ahead of Am I the Drama? Release, Insists on Peace Over Competition

Cardi B is gearing up for one of the biggest moments of her career with the release of her highly anticipated new album, Am I the Drama?, on September 12. The project lands less than a month after her ex-husband Offset dropped his own album, Kiari, sparking conversation about whether the former couple could soon find themselves competing on music’s biggest stage — the 2026 Grammy Awards.

But according to Offset, the answer is simple: there’s no competition, only support.

Offset: “I Just Want All Peace”

Speaking in a recent interview, Offset said he would be thrilled if both he and Cardi earned Grammy nominations for Album of the Year. Their children — 8-year-old Kulture Kiari Cephus, 3-year-old Wave Set Cephus, and their youngest, Blossom — could potentially see both parents recognized for their music.

“For sure,” Offset said confidently when asked about the possibility.

Still, he was quick to stress that his relationship with Cardi’s artistry isn’t defined by rivalry. “No, no, no. I just want all peace, man. For us to win, everybody’s gotta win. We got kids to raise, we gotta keep catching the dubs.”

Offset also confirmed he plans to fully support Am I the Drama? when it arrives. “That s— hard,” he said with a grin. “She’s gonna do her big one, too.”

A Rollercoaster Relationship

Cardi B, 32, and Offset first began dating in early 2017 and secretly tied the knot that September. Their relationship was marked by highs and lows, with public reconciliations, separations, and emotional declarations that often made headlines.

Since June, Cardi has gone public with her new romance with NFL star Stefon Diggs, describing the relationship as both challenging and rewarding.

“It was very tough, but it is what it is,” Cardi admitted about dating again in the public eye. “It’s tough hiding. It’s tough dating in your 30s, too, but I like him. I love him, today. I was always scared of dating people because I’ve always been in a long relationship since I was like 21.”
